FAQ’s

Have a question about our Community Meals & Restaurant Ticket Programs that isn’t answered here? Call the toll-free Helpline to speak to our friendly, professional and certified staff.

Age Well has contracted with several restaurants in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties to offer a nutritious meal to people age 60 and over at participating restaurants. Individuals 60 years of age or older register and then donate for a ticket and dine at one of the restaurants with their family or friends on their own time.

You must be 60 years of age or older and you be registered with Age Well. Anyone under age 60 who attends will order from the regular menu and pay full price.

As Age Well is partially federally funded by the Older American’s Act, all people 60 years of age or older who attend a meal organized by Age Well are required to be registered once a year to adhere to federal guidelines. Registration consists of a short questionnaire about demographics, contact information, and a nutrition survey. They can be completed at the Age Well office or with any of our Nutrition & Wellness Coordinators at the time you obtain your tickets.

The suggested donation is $5 per ticket.

Each ticket is valid for one meal only but there is no limit as to the number of tickets you can get.

Tickets are non-transferrable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable. If your friend is registered with Age Well, you can pick up a ticket for them but it must be in their name.

The tickets are available at our Age Well office located at 875 Roosevelt Hwy, Ste 210, Colchester, VT 05446 during regular business hours 8:3o am-4:3o pm.

Call the Helpline at 1-800-642-5119 for specific locations

You can also contact one of our Nutrition & Wellness Coordinators based on county:

Tickets are valid for the duration of our fiscal year October – September.

When you receive your tickets you will be handed a list of participating restaurants including the dates and times Age Well tickets are honored.

Upon arrival present your Age Well ticket to your host or server. They will then give you the special Age Well menu which has been reviewed and is compliant with the Older American’s Act guidelines. All other members of your party will select from the regular menu at regular price. Substitutions are not allowed. Any extra items or substitutions ordered will be charged at full price.

Gratuity is not included with your ticket. It’s encouraged, but up to you to tip your server.

“It’s very nice for seniors to get together and share a good meal. The most important thing to me is the opportunity to socialize and take part in the activities. I’m very happy to be there.”
