When you donate securities held longer than one year, you may be able to avoid paying capital gains taxes and receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock. Additionally, gifts of appreciated assets may be deductible up to 30% of your adjusted gross income, and any excess may be carried over for use in future tax years. Discuss with your Financial Advisor the options that are best for you.

We’ll use the proceeds from the sale of your car, truck, RV, or boat towards addressing senior isolation & hunger. Donating your unwanted vehicle is easier than selling it, and vehicle donations made to Age Well are tax-deductible. Learn more about donating your vehicle.

Age Well’s free services help make that possible, along with the support of local businesses and community partners. Your organization can make a lasting impact on their lives while strengthening your community presence.

A qualified charitable distribution (QCD), or IRA rollover, can be made by IRA owners who are 70 1/2 or older. A QCD must be made directly from your IRA custodian to Age Well on your behalf. When you use a QCD the dollar amount of the gift may be excluded from your taxable income up to a maximum of $108,000. Each financial institution has its own process for initiating a QCD, so follow your financial institution’s guidance on procedures to ensure you receive the tax benefits associated with this gift.
