Book Signing & Presentation – The Weight of Snow and Regret

Join us at the Sheldon Community Center as award winning author Elizabeth Gauffreau presents “Closing the Sheldon Poor Farm: Honoring History through Fiction.”
For over 100 years, no one wanted to be sent to the Sheldon Poor Farm. By 1968, no one wanted to leave.
Ms. Gauffreau’s newly released book “The Weight of Snow and Regret” tells the poignant story of what it means to care for others in a rapidly changing world.
A portion of book sales will be donated to the Franklin County Age Well Meals on Wheels, and also the Sheldon Historical Society, in memory of the people who were residents at the Poor Farm.
