Colchester, Vt – Older Vermonters are getting more options for dining out on a budget.
Age Well’s Meal Ticket Program aims to bring Vermonters 60 years and older out into the community to enjoy a meal with friends, family, or on their own time – without breaking the bank.
Registered participants pay for a ticket through donations – $5 is the suggested amount.
From there, they can choose to dine at one of several restaurant partners in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties.
Age Well’s director of nutrition and wellness, Chris Moldovan, says all meals served through the program are compliant with the Federal Older Americans Act meal nutrition guidelines.
“People get to choose what they want, when they want it, and where they want to eat it. We’re so grateful for our community partners, we couldn’t do this without them. It’s a super way to engage older Vermonters,” says Moldovan.
