This winter season DoorDash is highlighting Project DASH partners who are broadening food access in their community.
Age Well, a non-profit located in Northwestern Vermont depends on a network of over 1,000 volunteers to deliver essential meals to seniors. To meet an increased seasonal need for home delivery, Age Well is partnering with DoorDash Project DASH to ease the burden on the incredible volunteers who already give so much to their community.
Age Well provides home delivered, tailored meal options, as well as texture modification to help people manage their chronic health conditions. Additionally, Age Well utilizes Project DASH to inform them immediately when clients do not accept their meals so that they can support the safety and wellness of their clients.
Age Well’s partnership with Project DASH is part of DoorDash’s broader partnership with Meals on Wheels America, and will deliver 500 meals to older Vermonters through its partnership with Project DASH.
“We are deeply grateful for DoorDash’s support, which allows us to serve our community without placing additional burdens on our dedicated volunteers,” says Erica Marks, Director of Volunteer Services at Age Well. “This partnership is truly a gift to us, enabling us to continue our mission with greater ease and impact.”
