Rolling Through the Ages Gala Recap

On September 29, 2016 over 200 attendees gathered at Union Station in Burlington to celebrate the unveiling of the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging’s new name and look.

The evening began with opening remarks from former attorney and Deputy Secretary of Vermont’s Agency of Human Services, William Gilbert. Followed by Executive Director, Mike Hall’s commentary on “Why Age Well?”

He noted that “as the seniors we serve – their lives, their needs, their expectations – have evolved, so too have we changed. The time has come to reflect this evolution in our name and our strategic focus.”

The event program concluded with our new video that captures our mission: to provide the support and guidance that inspires our community to embrace aging with confidence.

We then boarded the train, generously donated by Green Mountain Railroad to enjoy dessert, drinks and dancing.

As evident by the photos and over $40,000 raised to support Vermont seniors, the night was a great success.

A special thank you to our title sponsors: Bullrock CorporationLangrock, Sperry & WoolTenth Crow Creative, and Sodexo at Champlain College – and all those who supported our party with a purpose!
